Cecelia E. (Kozel) Yaniga

Cecelia E. (Kozel) Yaniga age 95, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in WVU Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa with her loving family at her side.  She was born November 10, 1930 in Uniontown, Pa, a daughter of John and Margaret Kovach Kozel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, William J. Yaniga; grandson, Kristopher Yaniga.

She graduated from California State College with a BS in education.

Cecelia was a second grade school teacher at Clark School, Laurel Highlands School District for many years. She was also a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, since the 1950’s. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, trips to the casino, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her children: Ronald  Yaniga and his wife, Jeannine of Frostburg, Md, Mark Yaniga and his wife, Jeanne of  Damascus, Md,  David Yaniga and his wife Rose of Hopwood, Pa, Teri Yaniga-Kennedy and her husband Greg of Uniontown, Pa: grandchildren whom she loved and adored: Jason Yaniga , Lindsey Yaniga (Brian), Matthew Yaniga (Jessica), Keith Yaniga (Catalina), Shaun Yaniga (Camden), Jillian Yaniga (Mark), and Brandi Yaniga (Drew); 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Lauretta Kobowicz and Carole Kimmel; dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cecelia’s family will receive friends in the Goldsboro-Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, Pa from 3-7 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, where Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a Funeral Mass at Noon in Sts. Cyril and Methodius R. C. Church, Fairchance, Pa. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
